So Elder Cory Fife is injured!

So, on Wed, Jan 26, 2011, Cory was hit by a van while riding his bike with his companion in Savannah, GA. Link to news story from Savannah is here. We got a call from Georgia (not a call that anyone wants to ever get!) and jumped on a plane to get here as fast as we could.
At this point (Fri, Jan 28) Cory is out of life threatening danger. Our Heavenly Father is truly watching over him! He has a lot of other injuries (broken leg, lots of road rash, cuts that are stitched up and others), but right now we are just waiting to see the extent of the head trauma. His neuro surgeon is cautiously optimistic that all is going to be well with him.
We know that the prayers of hundreds (actually, thousands we are sure!) our pouring out to our Heavenly Father. We thank all of you for your prayers and fasting. Please continue on his behalf.
Cory would want us to share his testimony of Jesus Christ and the Atonement, his love for his mission and the  people of Georgia and the work he is doing here, his love for his companions (one who provided a greatly needed blessing immediately!), for his family and all of the blessings in his life.
We are so grateful for our son and for his testimony. We are grateful for the love of our Heavenly Father and our Savior during this difficult time.
We will do our best to keep everyone updated on his progress. Thank you for all you are doing for us and our family, words can not express the love and gratitude we have for all of you.

  4. We know that Heavenly Father is watching over his son Cory. The news so far sounds very positive and he is a STRONG man just like his dad. Our prayers and love is sent to you and yours.

All of my ward (some stake) members here in V. Beach are praying for Cory; and my old time friends!
